Will that preclude me from advancing to the semi-final round?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A: Absolutely not! The preliminary judges are experienced musicians, and they listen critically to your performance no matter what method of recording you use. (Reminder that only a non- adjudicator will verify recording integrity before blind evaluation by judges, ensuring competitor anonymity throughout the process.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Q: May I edit my recording?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A: No. Editing is not permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Q: I plan to do the recording on my own. Your private instructor will be able to help you find venues, such as churches or other students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\" class=\"\">Get organized. Schedule the pianist (if necessary) and figure where you will record. Don\u2019t necessarily plan on getting the recording done in one session.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\" class=\"\">If you are applying in one of the student divisions, be sure you meet the age requirement (your birthday is 9\/1\/2006 or more current). So, if you answer the question \u201cHow old will I be on September 1, 2026?\u201d with the answer \u201c20\u201d, you are\u00a0<strong>not\u00a0<\/strong>eligible to apply in either student division. Proof of age is required (scanned passport photo page, birth certificate, driver\u2019s license, or officially issued government ID that includes date of birth) in file no larger than 500 KB. Get your file ready early.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\" class=\"\">Additional information you will be asked to provide is on the Falcone Festival website under Competition Overview and Application Process.
